Transitional Housing

Roderique Hope Trust provides the Transitional Housing service for whanau in need of temporary housing.

Transitional housing offers a short term, warm, safe place to stay along with wrap around support services to assist whānau to secure a longer-term rental property.  Referrals for Transitional housing are received from Work and Income.

Roderique Hope Trust enters into an Occupancy Agreement with the whānau that is much more than just a house.

Roderique Hope Trust will support all aspects of the whānau or individuals needs, as well as identifying the issues and barriers that led to homelessness. Each whānau or individual are assigned a whānau navigator to create a whānau centered plan, identify barriers, set goals and help them to see a future for themselves and their children that is filled with hope.  This allows whānau to identify their dreams and aspirations, build whānau stability, gain further education and employment and have a place that they can call home.

Roderique Hope Trust work with other health, education, social sector agencies and community organisations to provide a full wrap-around of services required.  All applications for Transitional Housing are processed through the Ministry of Social Development.
